Why We Exist
Financial illiteracy costs young people thousands in avoidable mistakes. We're here to change that trajectory before it starts.
It Started With a Simple Observation
Ten years ago, our founder noticed something troubling while working in youth mentoring. Bright, capable teenagers were making disastrous financial decisions—not because they were careless, but because nobody had ever taught them the basics.
One young person took out a payday loan to cover a phone bill, triggering a debt spiral that took two years to escape. Another avoided opening a bank account because they didn't understand how overdrafts worked and were afraid of hidden fees.
These weren't isolated incidents. They were symptoms of a systemic gap in education.
Our Philosophy
Financial education shouldn't feel like a lecture. It should feel like gaining superpowers—the ability to make informed choices, resist manipulation, and build the life you actually want rather than stumbling into debt.
We believe children are far more capable of understanding money concepts than most adults give them credit for. The key is meeting them where they are, using language and scenarios that resonate with their lived experience.
"What impressed me most was how they made investing relatable to a 16-year-old. My son actually understands compound interest now, and he's excited about his future rather than intimidated by it." — Parent from Liverpool
How We Work
Every programme combines behavioural psychology, gamification, and real-world application. Children don't just learn theory—they practice making decisions in safe environments where mistakes become teaching moments rather than financial disasters.
We track progress through practical challenges, not exams. Can they create a realistic budget? Do they understand what APR actually means? Can they spot a financial scam in their social media feed?
Who We Serve
Our programmes reach families across the UK, from primary school children just beginning to handle pocket money to teenagers preparing for university and financial independence.
We work with individual families, schools, and community groups. Each context requires a different approach, but the core principle remains: empower young people with knowledge that protects them and opens opportunities.
What Makes Us Different
Most financial education treats children as miniature adults. We don't. An 11-year-old processes risk differently than a 17-year-old. Their relationship with money, status, and independence shifts dramatically across adolescence.
Our age-specific programmes honour these developmental stages. Foundation concepts build progressively, creating a scaffold of understanding rather than dumping information all at once.
And we're honest about the challenges. We discuss the psychology behind spending pressure, the deliberate design of subscription traps, and why financial companies don't always have your best interests at heart.
